The Movie Database Support

Hi,

Searching "Life y:2015" on the website, or using the following API URL, does not return the expected result, but first "Life of Pi" from 2012, then "Life of Crime" from 2013 and finally "Life" from 2015.

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?query=Life&year=2015

How does the search engine work on such case? Is it possible to get the good result as the first result (adding a parameter for example)?

Instead of the &year= parameter try using &primary_release_year=

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=[THE_KEY]&query=Life&page=1&primary_release_year=2015

Life of Pi premiered in 2015 on Dutch TV.
Life of Crime in 2015 premiered in Brazil and in the Netherlands it was released in Bluray.

Hi ticao2,

Thank you for the explanation, and yes, I'll do what you suggest.
