Changes made to guidelines on Spoken Languages??

I thought "Spoken Languages" was supposed to be only for the MAIN spoken languages?? Has there been a recent change the contribution bible? I thought there used to be a comment there saying that the Spoken Languages field was only for the main spoken languages, but I think its been since taken out? Am I wrong?
