Does this indicate a dvd release on the 6th of August, 2010 or the 8th of June 2010...how can you tell?

It appears to be an American film/website. So I think it's safe to assume the date follow the US standard (June 8, 2010): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Date_and_time_notation_in_the_United_States
