This is a problem I've had for the last month or so. Whenever I add a credit to a movie, it never shows up in the cast or crew member's "known for" section, even if it's their most popular film by a long shot. This is really a pet peeve of mine, is anyone else having this problem? Is it the website or me?

The "known for"results are cached for 24 hours so you won't see any changes until the next day.

That can't be right because it's always updated instantly for me before, and edits I've made from weeks ago still aren't showing up.

It all depends when the page was last accessed. Sometimes you might be the first person to access it in your region, so it wouldn't have been cached. Other times there may have been someone else who accessed it in the past 24 hours so it's already cached (ie. you won't see your change.)
Do you have an example of a person who you made a change with over 24 hours ago who doesn't have the updated items?

Here's a few crew members I've added to Horrible Bosses on December 15th.
The first one doesn't even have a known for section after all this time, and the second one still hasn't updated.
A couple cast members from The Longest Yard that I added on January 15th who's sections haven't updated
This is definitely a new phenomenon for me. In the past, it would update instantly 99% of the time, and if it didn't update instantly, it usually never would. Practically every update I make is like that now.

Here's what I found:
I have a theory as to what could be causing this. I'm heading out on vacation tomorrow and won't be back to work until February 4th. I've created a ticket for me to look at this here.

Chad Rivetti's is showing for me now, and I was wrong about Sean Graham's, sorry!

Hi @EmperorCommodus,
The fix for this is rolling out right now.
Thanks.

This also fixed another similar small bug. Before, adult actors (or crew) could get stuck at only one movie showing up next to the name when searching or when adding a credit. You usually had to re-save a key field of the profile to get this information to update. But after this update, you only have to add a new credit for the profile to auto update. For example, here was only one title visible when there should have been two, but when I added a third title now it was fixed. So thanks Travis!
