Why did you changed date format to MM/DD/YYYY ??? Why? Srsly. Give us a choice or keep it according to ISO https://www.iso.org/iso-8601-date-and-time-format.html

No one in Europe is using that, and its makes adding stuff harder and confusing as hell. I keep adding wrong dates thanks to this, because I dont expect to be month first and then day. Change it to NORMAL format like DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY/MM/DD please, ASAP.

Hi, three observations:

  1. The setting depends on your account settings. For example, if your account are set to German the dates work the European way.

  2. You can still enter the dates the old way, but they will be converted immediately. So to avoid making mistakes, add the dates the same way you always did.

  3. I think it makes sense to let the US data standard be the default for dates using the English setting. Perhaps it could be an option somewhere to set what standard you prefer?

Note that I'm not deciding any of these things. I'm just a moderator expressing my opinions. snail

  1. I have my account set in Slovak (fallback to GB English), and still have MM/DD/YYYY. But we ONLY use DD.MM.YYYY or YYYY.MM.DD
  2. I have tried to enter date in DD.MM.YYYY ... gives me error. Besides that, I always read that as day - month - year... so if i see something like 05/11/2018 i read that as fifth of november 2018, always. Why you ask? Because that makes sense.
  3. I would prefer international standart tbh, if I have fallback to UK use please UK style ... which is day month year (DMY)

Edit: Tried to clear cookies, problem fixed lol.

Did you get it to work? I only tried adding release dates using the YYYY/MM/DD standard and then it worked.

It's possible that not all languages have the correct settings then.

Confirming, so you're good now? I have not changed anything with regards to date formats in quite a while (multiple months) so if you saw a recent change then I would like to understand it a bit better. Sounds like maybe your region was saved incorrectly at one point. Hard to say for sure.

The way it's supposed to work is to just use your local region settings. I don't try to make any assumptions about format because everywhere is different and it's a lot easier for contributors to use the format they find customary.

Yes, I'm good now :) I don't know why I haven't tried that as first thing.
