When editing posters to remove text, is it best to remove parts of the poster that was obviously meant to accompany(?) the text, or leave those in (even though the image is left looking...perhaps, a little strange(?))? Or are both versions acceptable (encouraged?) in the db?
If the above sounds confusing, here are two examples to illustrate what I mean:
Example one:
For "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell", I uploaded these three posters:
1) This is the poster I uploaded (with text).
2) This is that poster with the text edited (using very basic Paint skills) out (but the red bar remains).
3) This is that poster with the text edited out, AND that red bar also removed.
Example two:
For "Daddy I Do", I uploaded these three posters:
1) This is the poster I uploaded (with text).
2) Thisis that poster with the text edited (using very basic Paint skills) out (but the white lines remain).
3) This is that poster with the text edited out, AND those white lines removed.
In both of these scenarios, and in other general situations, should I have uploaded:
a) 1, and 2 only.
b) 1, and 3 only.
c) 1, 2 and 3.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Additionally, if the answer is a) or b), does that mean the other type of image should be reported & removed from the db?

Or is it not encouraged if one can upload a textless version of a poster, to even bother uploading the original (with text) version?

Sometimes it can be. It really depends on the original design. And, for example, some clean posters look much better if you take the time to re-center the title.
I personally prefer the third poster for I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. For Daddy I Do, I kinda like both edited posters. But I'm wondering whether the poster would look better without the white bar at the top?
Please do upload the original version if you can! It won't be primary, but some users prefer the original posters.
