I've been trying to import my movie list for weeks now with no luck. I used ExportTools to export my movie list to a .csv file but i keep getting the message "The file you submitted could not be mapped to one of our supported formats."i have over 1000 and i don't want to manually add these movies 1 by one. Is there another tool i should be using? Thanks!

We only support the list of CSV source files that is listed on the CSV page. In order to support other sources, I have to add specific support for them.
What is the source of the CSV file you are trying to import?

Hello. thanks for the response. the source is from an application called Export Tools. its a 3rd party app created to export a movie collection in plex to a CSV file.
I saw the list of CSV files you support and i was trying to see if i can play around with the CSV file i created to try and match what you support but with no luck so far.

Gotcha, I have not heard of Export Tools. Is there an IMDb or TMDb ID in the file?
If there is can take a look at adding support for it. You can send me a copy of the file to travis[at]themoviedb.org and I'll check it out.

there is a column called Media ID but i'm not sure if its IMDB or TMDB. Im my CSV file, 8962 refers to the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious. Im not sure where it is getting this info from. There's also column called MetaDB Link and every movie in this column has a link to the the movie to IMDB. Im not sure if this will help but i can send you my CSV file. Thanks again!

Ok, sounds like I might be able to do something with it.
Send a copy of the file my way and I'll check it out.

Ok, I looked it over and there is no discrete TMDb or IMDb ID column. The
Media ID
column looks like Plex's internal ID. There is an IMDb link but I'm not sure if I want to try and parse that or not (I could, but...)It might best to first ask the developer of Export Tools to add the additional column. TMDb wouldn't be the only who could benefit from this change. We can see what he says before me making any commitments here.

i was waiting to hear back from the devs from ExportTools but it looks like i figured it out and got it imported. I created a CSV file from IMDb and took all the URL's links from my CVS files and pasted them in the IMDb created CSV file. I also noticed all the links ended with the IMDb ID. For example http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2024544. I took all of the ID's from the links and copied them in the Const column. Saved, imported and that's all she wrote!
