I don't know if it's some kind of built-in part of whatever software is being used, or maybe something that could be made optional. But I use the various cursor keys - page up, page down, up, down, left, right... - to shift around in pages especially when there are long lines that go off-screen.
A while back - maybe a few months ago now? - I found that the left and right "arrow" keys now change pages within the site. And not always in expected or convenient ways.
Also, if I was on like page 5 of a subject, and looking at a thread, I could use the good old Alt-LeftArrow to go back to the page 5 "index." Now it goes all the way back to page 1 instead.
Maybe some people prefer it that way? Seems unlikely to me. But if it could be made at least optional, if not completed undone, that would be nice.

If you click on the last poster's name in the "Last Reply" column it will take you directly to the last post.

Nice way to bury a feature. :-|
Also I sometimes have to scroll right to see that, which brings up the arrows-changing-page issue.

That, you can! If a thread has at least one reply, you can just click on the name of the last replied person (at the right ya'know), and you'll be linked to their reply, thus the last page.

I got that, yes. I just think it's usually a bad idea for things like that to be different in different situations. Everywhere else, as far as I know, if I click on someone's name, I get their profile.
In any event, adding "Back to first page" within threads, would still be a good idea.

Just for information: when you click on someones name in a reply they post, you get a link to their reply too, it's pretty convenient when you want to like to specific information in a longer thread. Only for the topic starter/first post it's their profile, and the avatar of course always links to the profile.
True!!! Right now you have to manually edit the URL. Although I think it's already helpful that the first post is always on top, regardless of the page. I love that!

Yes, the previous pagination was never finished. It was only ever a matter of finding the time to get to. I managed to squeeze it in yesterday so you'll see it's all different and properly implemented now.
So the new pagination links support this so I guess it's all moot now anyways, but you could have always also just clicked the title of the post at the top. That link has always taken you back to the first page.

I see a keyboard shortcuts list being available, but it displays in an odd format, and doesn't scroll vertically to see it all.
Any news on being able to change my options?
