The Movie Database Support

Hi guys, I'm new here, and I'd like to move from imdb to tmdb, mainly because of the language and the UI. I try to import imdb list on the Voted list here on tmdb and I have 97% imported (191 movie over 200) how can I know what movie tmdb didn't recognize? Thank you in advance

You can look into your settings. Click on your avatar with the right (mouse/tab) key, select "Settings", select "Import List" on the left, click on "Previous Imports" on the right, click on any listed import date -> voilá, you found the full list. All entries with the explanation "Couldn't find IMDB ID." are the one's that were not recognized for different reasons. In most cases, the TMDb entries are missing the correct IMDb ID; sometimes we don't allow content that's listed on IMDb, for example, certain short films, music videos and video games.

You can also click on this link -> I think it works: https://www.themoviedb.org/settings/import-list

Thank you. I went to previous import and the strange thing is that also if I have 97% imported, in that list I have on all entry the checkmark... :( it seems like tmdb imported the 100%. I try to read the imdb csv to find some strange name and I read Captain Harlock written original Japanese name but romanji. Tmdb couldn't find romanji movie name. But this is one movie, I don't have time to seek 200 movie and check one by one what is missing in :(

Hey @Psygnosis There are some cases where the reason the item wasn't imported isn't being reported (one example would be if a rating is missing or invalid). I have plans to make sure all of the items are shown with the proper reason next week. I was actually working on this earlier this week so it's pretty fresh in my memory.

OMG thank you so much! Is there a blog where I could find website changelog? So I could try to import the csv again when this feature is on.

@Psygnosis If you want to try and re-import your CSV file, there's a lot more logic that goes in to telling you why a particular row failed. Don't worry, re-importing is a safe operation, it skips over items you've already imported. The difference is (hopefully) now you get the extra information about the missing rows.

Cheers.
