What does Get Recommendations (v4) based on?

The recommendation(v4) is for a specific user, right? What does it base on? Watch List, Favorite List or any else? Another question: if my app is using the authentication system provided by v4 which means the user won't get the session id, what should I use to allow the user to mark a movie as a favorite?

Hi @yrzzzzzz,
It's based on a users ratings and items marked as favourite.
I have an open ticket to create a migration path between v3 and v4 sessions here but I think I'll also add the ability to do these account actions on v4 soon. I'll update tis thread when I have something completed.

There is now a conversion path to go from a v4 access token to a v3 session id. You can read more about this here.
