Cast Sorting Question

Any cast sorting experts in the house???
Okay, let's assume upfront that I may have failed basic icon manipulation and the understanding of the simpler things of life LOL. But I have a question about this cast sorting. I can hit the sort button and grab the entry for a lead and try to drag it up to put it in the cast order I want but when I release it it just stays back where it initially was. I'm pretty sure there must be something simple I am not doing like placing foot on the control key while facing west when attempting this, but I can't seem to google an answer to what should be child's play. Most of the sorting questions I found were relating to the mobile app or touch panels. I am just on a Win 10 64bit laptop with a keyboard and usb mouse.
I've tried grabbing the 4 way arrow sign, the face, the name, and they all seem to get "grabbed" and I can move them, but when I drop them no change happens. I can grab a name and the 4 way arrow becomes transparent I just can't drop it anywhere.
This is just an example screen shot I am not trying to edit the antman movie (this is just an example screen shot) but in this case if I tried to drag Michael Douglas up underneath Paul Rudd it does nothing. I can't find a FAQ, and I've even considered it might be my browser and switched from firefox and tried it on Chrome and got the same result.

I'm on Firefox and I just tried sorting with this film and it seems to be working (though the cast order changes aren't in the changelog for some reason?). You have to click and drag the four arrows to move a person up or down and then let go.

Thanks! I know it has to be something on my end. I am doing the same thing, only when I let go nothing happens. As long as it's working for others then I know I just need to do some more investigating. I'm running firefox with about a billion extensions and have a feeling my trouble might be there. Push come to shove if I can't get it to work, I'll just call some one else with the film and see if I can pass the buck LOL. Thanks for taking the time to reply. It's very helpful to know that it's not a system wide thing just a user a few IQ points short of an icon

I also have trouble on an Microsoft surface with win10. I couldnt make it work in Chrome. Only other browser i have is Edge. Somehow it does work in there. Did you try that one.

Just a follow up. I followed your suggestion and tried sorting the cast with Microsoft Edge and it worked flawlessly. Thanks so much for the tip!!!!!!
