We routinely get reports about films not showing Collection data, even though it’s been added days or weeks prior. Is it the case that modifying the Collection a movie is in doesn’t set the modified flag, and therefore those films don’t show up when we import changes using modified since?

Yeah, I definitely think adding a movie to a collection won't show up in the change log of said movie. It definitely does appear in the changelog of said collection though! Do you also import those? (Also deletions)

I guess we need to know about the collections in order to import them, so we thought we were relying on the films to learn about new collections! Is there an endpoint for new collections? If so, my apologies not to have found/used it.

There only appear to be Changes endpoints for Movies, TV and People. Happy to be steered in the right direction if there’s a preferred approach.

Well, new collections are just dummy movies converted into collections, so I guess you can work from that, and then for those movies-turned-to-collections, you gotta keep querying them for the new additions. But, the URL changes from /movie to /collection, so I am not sure if you are still querying those with the API with the modified since? If so, then I am not sure, because you definitely see the additions and deletions!
Though I am not familiar with the API at all, so I am not sure how to work with that. This is just my knowledge of the changelogs I browse on-site!
(No need to apologize for anything )
// EDIT: Oh, then I guess it's not possible, maybe Travis can help out _!

Hey Matthew,
I've created a new ticket to add a new change log entry when movies are added to a collection. I'm not sure when I'll find time to look at it but it's in the system now.
