The Movie Database Support

Hi Team,

As per my understanding of this API, any movie/tv asset gets updated on particular date ( E.g. 2018-06-14) then that ID will be obtained by calling changes API with start_date=2018-06-14.

If above understanding is correct then the list of ID's which are returned for date 2018-06-14 will always be same in future.

However, I have observed list of changes ID'd returned for past date varies.

Example - yesterday I was fetching changed ID's for date 2018-06-13, it returned me 506 total ID's, and today its returning me 525 ID's.

Please correct my understanding or let me know the limitations of changes API.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Sorry for the late reply. Are you using a end_date filter? They shouldn't change once the day is over, assuming you're providing a start and end filter.

https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/changes?api_key=###&start_date=2018-06-14&end_date=2018-06-15
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/changes?api_key=###&start_date=2018-06-15&end_date=2018-06-16

Etc... to query the movies changed every day if you were doing that daily. But if you're querying the current day, it will continue to change until 00:00 UTC.
