The Movie Database Support

I've got a script that programmatically reads movies from various sources and adds them to a TMDB list (with a comment that states the original source). It's been running without any real issues for several months.

However. During the last few days I've noticed that, when trying to add a comment to certain items, the API returns a HTTP 500 with the status code 11. I haven't managed to figure out why it happens, but it's persistent and keeps on happening for that same item over and over again (even when creating a brand new list).

{"status_code":11,"status_message":"Internal error: Something went wrong, contact TMDb.","success":false}

As of writing this, it's currently happening on Marvel One-Shot: All Hail the King with 100% reproducibility using this bash script.

Any help to figure this out would be appreciated! Let me know if there's anything else I can do to further debug this.

Thanks!

The bash script isn't reproducing the error anymore.

After some further debugging and testing I'm longer certain it's certain movies that are error-prone, but rather suspect it's caused by adding the exact same comment more than five times (regardless of which list and items) or something similar.

I'm not sure what's going on, but there definitely seems to be something wonky. While trying to modify the bash script to prove my "same comment more than five times" theory I ended up in a state where I could only reproduce the error if the comment was longer than 17(?) characters, and I also ended up in a state where absolutely every request triggered the 500 no matter the list/items/comment/comment length.

Hi @jyggen,

I have a pretty good idea what it is. We've been battling a very high amount of list spam recently so the spam settings are turned up a bit more than I'd usually like. I can probably turn them down a bit this week when I get into work on Tuesday.

Thanks for he heads up.
