I have made a list as alphabetical order. But "mother!" is at bottom of the list. Please fix it.

I don't think this is a report like "fix the title to contain a capital!!" but more like "can the code be fixed that capitals and small letters are equal?"

And that's exactly what should be done in my opinion.. I wonder how numbers are treated :P Do they go before or after the letters? And special characters?

@alltimemarr
Got it. And I think that's right, you're right.
And I agree with your consideration of special characters (with diacritics).
My language is the Portuguese. We use several special characters:
à, á, ã, é, ê, í, ó, ô, õ, ú, ü, ç, etc...

Yeah, I think those should also be treated the same as their "normal" equivalent. (although I was talking about things like # or @ or hearts :P)

I remembered now, and went to check.
The alphabetical order is made using the original title, not the translated title, of your country.
Therefore, in this particular case, the change would not be very advantageous.

well, original titles still have accents too :) Not every movie is American/English :)

I wonder where Korean and Japanese script are on the "alphabet" scale, and Russian, etc! Maybe it would be easier to make everything alphabetical within the language, But maybe that's hard to code..

Yes, I was talking about it. Small and capital letters should be equal. Numbers are fine. They are before the letters as should be. And also there is a Israel movie which called Kicking Out Shoshana. This movie is being perceived as hebraic. And it is the bottom of the list, too. Please correct them.

I know why this is happening but requires a bit of work to fix properly. I have created a ticket to look at it here.

Do you have any progress about this problem?

This should be fixed. The new implementation is a bit smarter than just making sure to normalize the title strings as we now also support sorting based on the translated title of the language you're querying.
