Many TV episodes credit the writer as "Teleplay" rather than "Writer". When this credit is added correctly using the "Teleplay" tag, this results in "Written by: No writer has been added" shown for the episode, instead of the writer's name. The same goes for most TV movies. Can we please consider the "Teleplay" credit as a writer?

Do you have any examples where this does not work for regular movies. It was fixed for movies a year ago so that's why I'm curious. See for example Wildflower.

Sorry, lineker, you're right - it works for TV movies. Guess I missed that fix! :)

Doesn't the problem still exist for TV episodes? I for example added one person to 'story' and two to 'teleplay' on this episode, however, the episode still shows "Written by: No writer has been added"

You’re right, this has never been fixed for TV episodes.

Just making sure there is no confusion: TV Writer = Story + Teleplay. The former is missing in the original post.

Yeah, but they can be credited seperately and to different people (Big Bang Theory!), though none of them show up at "written by"Same for Script, which is incorrectly in the crew section (and I disagree we should then add "screenplay" or "writer'. Because screenplay is for movies, and writer is not the credit given).

Is "Script" actually in use as a proper credit? I have only seen it as the informal term when writing or talking about about finished movie screenplays. Edit: But then I did a search and noticed it added for Japanese stuff. Example: here. And Winx etc. So looks to be in use indeed.
I'm adding it to my list of jobs to move.

Hi. This is still happening with TV episodes. Will the 'Teleplay' credit be considered as a writer in the future?
