I drop the following info here just for future reference and if someone wants to research this further (I think it's not very important to find out, to be honest)!

After cleaning up the duplicates, there are 2 pages left here on TMDb:

1. Ashwini -> https://www.themoviedb.org/person/584281-ashwini -> many credits, she died in 2012.
   
2. Aswini -> https://www.themoviedb.org/person/1095510-aswini -> there are 2 credits right now, "Godava" (2007), and "Pulan Visaranai 2" (2015).
   

It could be that the first credit of no. 2, "Godava", is wrong. Because on the official facebook page of the second credit, "Pulan Visaranai 2", there's a poster plus text for the release of this movie, and it says:

"Starring Prashanth, Karthika (Debut), Aswini (Debut), Prakash Raj, Radha Ravi, Anandaraj, Nizhalgal Ravi, Pyramid Natarajan, Roja, Kuyili & RK."

If that's her debut film in 2015, she couldn't have done "Godava" in 2007! On the other hand, the second movie was shot many years before the release (between 2005 and 2008) -> so it could have been her debut. In other words -> it's very complicated, and I gave up finding the correct data ...

IMDb is no help, they have at least 5 different pages that include a mix-up of their credits (and probably other actresses):

1. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0039306 -> Ashwini (I) -> many credits for actress no. 1, who died in 2012;
   
2. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2051193 -> Ashwini (II) -> 2 credits for actress no. 1, who died in 2012;
   
3. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4488048 -> Ashwini (III) -> 1 credit for either no. 1 or no. 2 (missing credit here on TMDb);
   
4. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm7105473 -> Ashwini (V) -> only credit for "Pulan Visaranai 2";
   
5. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0040197 -> Aswini (I) -> 3 credits, one of them is for "Godava" -> this could be a mix-up of credits for no. 1 and no. 2!

To be frank, I am also at the same confused stage, after seeing imdb. I also moved the Pulan visaranai 2 credit to godava actress profile in doubt. Pulan visaranai 2 also shot for very long time IIRC. They put debut for actor in particular language, if other language actors debuts on other language movies.

So I took the benefit of doubt

Yes, I just read about this -> and they had many problems releasing it for many years. Which complicates the search for the actress even more!

I tried to dig deeper, but I didn't find any useful info. One article I didn't trust mentioned Pulan Visaranai 2's As(h)wini previously worked in Telugu and was familiar with Tamil. And Godava is (probably incorrectly) credited to Ashwini Sharma on her Wiki page. I'm as confused as you both are.
