Okay I'll be honest, I'm not sure if it is just here on this particular tv show I'm trying to edit or if it is happening in other areas. I was looking for information on Sam (1973) and found most missing. I added a poster with no issues, but have not been able to add cast or crew. It keeps it all greyed out. The post is https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/7722-sam
Example: I click Edit, then regular cast, and it shows (Season, name, airdate in a row). When you click on say season it comes up with a message "No records have been added." Says the exact same thing on all three options of season, name and airdate. I just finally gave up after several attempts. This is the first time I've run into this issue and so not sure what the issue is.

Yes I see it now it just wasn't there when I asked about this... Hmmm.. I am wondering if the issue I was running into is that the fact that when I started there was NO seasons even added for this show. So as a result it doesn't allow you to add a cast? Not sure if this is accurate.. But at the moment I'm able to add the cast again. Thanks..

Maybe because/if you hadn't added a season first? You have to add seasons, before you can add seasonal crew/cast (be sure they are actually the main cast, guest stars and regular guest stars etc are added on episode level!)
Note: I deleted the creator credit. The info said he is the writer, I don't know if he is actually credited as "created by" or "developed by" or the like? Writers/directors etc should just be added on episode level, if they directed/wrote all eps, they can be added on season level. I spotted the credit "Series Devised by", but what does that mean?
// EDIT: Oh wait, haha you realised it yourself. Yes, that was the issue _^

Actually John Finch is listed in IMDB as both the creater and writer.

We shouldn't add data based off what IMDb has, but what the actual episode tells us! :) Now I'm not a native English speaker, so I'm not sure what "devised by" truly means, but maybe someone else can give some insight, @lineker @Banana @Patzst?

No problem.. I was just letting you know where I obtained the information I used. I notice on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_(1973_TV_series) it give him writing credit but not the creator credit. So at this point I'm not sure.
Per your comment I did look at each episode and it does clearly show that he was given Writer: John Finch (created and written by)

I would also like to know the answer to what "Devised by..." means.
There are on-screen credits for season 1 and season 2 of Playing it Straight that read like: "Devised by Bob Smith and Mary Jane". Do we add them as a creator? Do we add them as a crew member with the "created by..." credit? (side note: I'm not sure why there is a "created by..." credit available for tv shows if there is already a "creator by..." field in the "Primary Facts" area).
Is there another available credit? Or should I just put in a request on this thread?

I couldn't find a description of the exact role and tasks of a series "deviser". But I think it should be added as a new writing credit (x).
There is only one list of crew jobs. But that one should only be used in the movie section.
