To be honest, mainly lack of content/interest. I think this is the first time I can remember someone asking for it.
One of the next big features is universes and TV will be supported there. Since collections are all about sequels, and there aren't really sequels in TV, it probably doesn't make sense to have TV collections. But universes supporting TV is a definite yes for sure. They'll be supported out of the gate.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean. I don't think I would say that seasons are really sequels, no, but we have seasons so depending how you look at it those are already supported.
I can't think of any examples off the top of my head of a TV sequel. There's lot's of spin-offs, but I don't think most of those are sequels. Again though, a spin-off would be supported within a single universe so in the future we'll have a way of grouping those together in the world of TV.
Ya, those are valid examples good call, but there’s still not very many I think we can just wait for universes and I’ll make sure TV is hooked up at that point.
There's only one person who works on TMDb (me). As such, most features can take a while for me to get to and you just have to be patient. Universes is definitely happening but running the business side of TMDb takes the majority of my time these days and I don't get to build new features as much as I once did.
There's features that have been sitting in my queue for a lot longer than that.
Universes will be released when I have time to get to it. As it stands right now, my next 6 months are already booked so it will be in the later half of 2019.

Gilmore Girls? Will & Grace? Degrassi? This Is England? I'm guessing a few miniseries and (probably) anime series.
