Hi,
While using the Facebook sharing button (one that appears on the trailer) - I get the following error ..
"You can't post this because it has a blocked link The content you're trying to share includes a link that our security systems detected to be unsafe:
http://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original
Please remove this link to continue. If you think you're seeing this by mistake, please let us know."
This is a very critical requirement for our website and I would appreciate some help in this matter.
Regards, Sal

Hi Sahil,
Yes, this is a known issue and as far as I can tell from when I looked into it back in October, it's basically impossible to get off their blacklist. I couldn't find any way to contact them about this issue other than using the "let us know" link.
Why the domain even got added to the blacklist to start with is beyond me. But that's a separate issue all together.
About the only thing I can suggest is using it and report it as invalid.

Oh damn.. that's tragic for our site!! I already reported it several times and got no response as of yet.

Ya, Facebook seems pretty useless about this unfortunately. Considering how much this can affect someone using their platform, I'm shocked there's no way to formally request a removal.

Perhaps if you guys - the creators of the db contacted them directly and a little persistently using the correct form/page it might work? It seems to think your API/images are Spam related.

I tried last month. I got no reply. If you can find the right link/page I can try again.
But a quick Google about this shows lots of other people with the same situation and I don't think I saw a single one say they got the domain removed. Best I can tell with Facebook is it's a black hole.

Here.. this is it... https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/?id=244560538958131
Use the "This is a website I own/promote" option and leave your official tmdb.org email at the end so that they can contact you if needed and for verification.

I just got this reply which I don't know if it means they looked at it or just a stock reply:
What does that even mean? I have no idea.

Seems like a stock reply, unfortunately. They didn't look at it. Try other forms using your official tmdb.org email.

I've tried 3 different ones now (2 last month, 1 just now) and got nowhere. Like I said, based on my reading online this seems to be as far as anyone gets, which is to say nowhere. I couldn't find a record of anyone getting this block removed.

Found a potential solution!
https://www.forbes.com/sites/caroltice/2013/03/15/when-facebook-calls-you-abusive-reclaim-your-reputation/2/
FB seem to use Trend Micro for this .. go here.. https://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/feedback.php?_ga=2.149637878.1121923477.1511458229-583207363.1511458229
Again use your official email address and submit with OK. Enter details too.
I entered http://image.tmdb.org/t/p/original and it's showing as safe.. do the same thing with tmdb.org or other sub domains you might think would affect this problem.

I don't see any tmdb.org domain being listed as unsafe though. Do you?
I tried:
Which are the only 3 domains we use. Trend Micro says they're all safe.

Yes it says Safe.. but submit it for Reclassify Request anyways? Along with the details about the widespread fb sharing issue.
