I just edited something in the Life series of the BBC. Now I would like to add the titles of which that series is build. How do I do that? Regards,
Wim

The TV entry is located here.
You can add YouTube series trailers or opening credits at a season level or episode trailers, clips or featurette at an episodic level levels. Each language is independent, though. A Dutch video should be added via the Dutch editing interface. Also, it's better to use video from official YT accounts and we don't allow link to full episodes.

I just realised that my mastery of the english language maybe adequate, but certainly nof sufficient let alone that I can consider myself te be a native speaker, or writer in this case. What I am trying to ask is: The BBC Life series is not only a tv-series, but also a set of dvd's that were for sale in the Netherlands. The series being a set of dvd's makes them items to be included in this database for me, because I am a Kodi-user and would like this set of dvd's to be recognised by the application. As far as I understand, the total package of dvd's is the record in the database and it consists of 5 dvd's with each two sequels of the series. I would like to add thoses dvd's as part of the series in to the database, if that is possible. How do i do that? If it is not possible to add the whole series as one record to the database, how do I add the the dvd's to database in such a way that it is clear to everybody that those dvd's are a set. And Kodi understands that too. I hope I clarified my question? Regards, Wim

Oops, my bad, I guessed wrongly based on the title of the post.
I'm sorry, but I can't help you with that. It's a Kodi issue not a TMDb issue. Our data looks good. You may want to try their FAQ or support forums.

No problem... I already said my English, or American for that matter, isn't all that good... :-( But seeing what you wrote makes me pose the next question, which is: If the data is good, why can I not find any reference to sequels I mentioned? The first one is named: The challenges of Life: Reptiles and Amphibians, the second is: Mammals - Fish, the third is Birds - Insects, the fourth Hunters and Hunted - Creatures of the Deep and the fifth is Plants - Primates. I just searched on the keyword reptiles: no hits, nor on Amphibians. So the question still stands as far as I am concerned: how do I add these to the database in such a way that they appear as part of the serial Life?

I think I have discovered the answer to my problem: I am supposed to convert the film to a collection and consequently add the separate movies to the collection. The only problem is that this seems to be locked.... How can I access that or do I have to create a new movie and start all over again?

this is a series that means it isn't a collection at all according to our collection rules

If you consult the IMDB you will notice this title mentioned as a series as well as a collection. Or otherwise: the series was on tv as well as released as a collection of films on dvd. So although I concur that my English is not all that good, in my humble opinion that qualifies it as both, doesn't it?

That I hadn't found. Thanks. But that is the tv-series and what I sent you was a set of dvd's released in 2011 in the Netherlands. That means I should create a new set of films, I suppose?

I notice Samara you are a very clear and outspoken person. This discussion was started by me as an implicit question to be helped with this. I am happy to see you are doing your utmost to make things clear for a newbie. Thank you very much for that. I very much appreciate the work that is put into this database and very humbly apologize for being the nitwit you abundantly made clear I am. I would appreciate it even more if I got some answers as to what helps solve the problem I very obviously have. That I very likely will be locked out of this thanks to my stupid behaviour is a risk I will have to take, but if you do not an answer to the questions I am asking in my so very inarticulate way I humbly ask not to be reacted to by you. So if you do not want any duplicates and knowing this situation exists, how can this be solved? Or is that another stupid question?

From what I gather you're talking about something like this, right?
From the looks of it, based on the titles you gave above, the DVDs are identical to the television series - which is to be expected, as it's the DVD release of that show. If something is originally released on television, to have the DVDs in the movie section as well would just be duplication of data. We aren't going to mess with our data to suit some 3rd party application, as a lot of different applications all use it for various, different purposes. If you'd really want your Kodi to recognize the DVD discs, look into NFO files - as Banana said, it's a Kodi issue, not ours.

Hey im Dutch too so ill also post this reply in Dutch.
Im afraid you Cannot add movie releases for something that originally aired as a tv series. So as Rebecca mentioned. Your best bet would be to use nfo files. Theres lots of info in the interwebs about that
