I am trying to reset my password, on first try a red box message appears at top of page saying something like 'problems with email- check to see if email is working' of course my email is working. so I logged out and on logging back in notice a "reset password" box so I click on it and it says 'we have
received some type of warning/flag about about this email '. What?
Explain to me how to reset my password.

That error means that the emails we have tried to send you have bounced or you marked an email as spam.
I just looked up your email history here and it looks like on May 17, you marked an email as spam which is an automatic block, and at that point we'll never, ever send you an email again. We get in a lot of trouble from our email provider if we send email to anyone who marks an email as spam.
If I go ahead an remove that block, will you not mark any more emails as spam? I can't risk our reputation with our email provider.

I am sorry, I don't remember doing that, so it must have been done totally by accident.I know I used to get e-mail notifications from here and then all of a sudden they stopped. I didn't mind that I just come here to check my notifications. You are not spam to me .

Ok, sounds good.
I removed the block on your email, you should be able to receive emails now. If you go to your settings page now, you should be able to walk through the reset process.

Travis- Is the sending of the email to me supposed to be immediate? I clicked on the "Yes" to send me an email with the info to reset my password and still have not received it yet (and I also have been checking my spam- just in case)

To answer your question, as long as you see the "Success" message, it's essentially instant.
I just tested this on my account and got the email. Let me know how you make out.

Oh, I think our email provider is still blocking you (I have a block here, which I removed for your email--but they have their own separate one).
I'll have to investigate how to get your email removed at their level. This is the first time I've had to do this so I am not exactly sure what/how to do it.

ScorpionQ2, you may also want to double check your email provider's spam blocker again. Sometimes it will again start blocking stuff you want to receive when it changes its algorithm. It doesn't happen often, but it can happen.
