The primary_release_year query returns all movies with the name and ignores the release year.
The following search query(s) should respond with this movie: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/7484-open-season
This does not work (primary_release_year): https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?query=Jagdfieber&api_key=xyz&language=de&primary_release_year=2006
This works (year): https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?&query=Jagdfieber&api_key=xyz&language=de&year=2006

Sorry for reopening this ticket - i did not see your answer. :/
In the meantime there are more results with that query (7). What i don't understand: i get the same result for that query even if i just search for the title. Is that the expected behavior ? So the primary_release_year is ignored ?

Hi nordicstyle,
We seem to be having the same experience with the primary_release_year. Keen to be kept updated with a workaround or fix. Our topic can be found here:

Yes, it looks like a bug slipped in that was causing the
primary_release_year
param to be ignored. If you run those queries now you'll see that they should be filtering properly.Sorry about that.
