I realize it's unrealistic to expect every existing movie to be found on this website. For example, there's a movie from 1993 called The Dark I'd like to add. But before I do, how much info do I need to add? It's one thing to add only basic info (director's name, etc.) But if there's very specific info that needs to be added in order to do so, I might not want to go through the trouble. So I'm curious as to how much info is needed to add a title. Thanks.

It's fine to add just the basic info. You technically only need the title and the overview to create an entry, and the latter can be removed after the entry is created.
I think it may already be in the database, though. (Unless it's a different movie?)

Searching for The Dark brings up 700 movies, so it's easy to miss a movie in that scenario. Also, narrowing it down using y:1993 won't work since we have a 1994 release date added here. But I think Banana found the correct entry!

Thanks, all. Yes, that was it.
