How do I detect deleted episodes of a show?
I believe the only current (complicated) method is: Call CHANGES api with relevant dates, it will tell me which shows have changed, then I should get all seasons+eps of that show, then compare against my current list of eps, and figure out from there which were deleted.
It would be nice if there's an easier way, perhaps there is and I'm just not seeing it?

Hi @gpvista, you're right there is no other way than by using the change methods.
An efficient way to solve this would be for me to add another set of daily exports for deleted ids. I've created a new ticket for me to think about this here.

Just to clarify, is there a changes() API for EPISODES, or just for shows?

Yup, all TV objects (series, seasons and episodes) have the change methods.

I think we're miscommunicating; I need an API that tells me "all tv eps that have changed", I can't do an API call on all 1m eps in my DB.
So I looked at the API, and I see "miscChangedMovies" and "miscChangedTvs", which covers movies and shows, but I don't see a "miscChangedEpisodes" function-- that's what's missing. Or am I wrong?

The only way to do it right now is from the TV series level, as I mentioned already there is no discrete TV episode change list. Right now, you would walk down the ladder to to speak from changed TV series.
You drill down into the object with each request. So on an individual series level that works ok, but to see the bigger picture outside of a episode or season's associations, there's no way. The best way for that to work would probably be the way I mentioned in my first post, to publish separate a list of deleted ids.
