Hi, I've my API key, but I can't find the right address to get the list of movie with attributes as json file.
Hi Sara,
And example request to get the basic movie details looks like this (replace ### with your API key of course):
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/550?api_key=###
You can add extra methods to your request by using the append_to_response parameter. This is outlined here.
append_to_response
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/550?api_key=###&append_to_response=videos,images
Thanks. Is there a list with all movies and their identification number, like the "movie/550" in your example? It will be hard to guess the movie I'm searching for with random numbers. Thanks again for helping me.
Without knowing exactly what you're trying to achieve, this document outlines a fairly standard process that will probably help.
We also publish a list of daily ID exports that could be helpful if you're bring some of this data in house.
The best way would be to execute a search, using a movie name, as follows:
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=####&query=star+trek&page=1
You can then parse the JSON results to compile a list of matching movies and their appropriate movie ids.
