This would allow us to mark the Translated Title the same as the Original Title. A lot of movies and tv-shows use the original title in a multitude of regions. This could be achieved with a simple checkbox on the right next to translated title.

As long as I understand you and I know about, you don't have to and actually should not add a "Translated Title" when it's the same as the "Original Title". You can just ignore the data field in this case.

I will take this in to account when editing in the future, i only did it in the first place because they appeared in the contribute section because they had no local title. That's the reason i think this button/box would be helpful so users like me can see what really need editing/translating.

That's a bug on the contribute page. I'm going to fix the contribute page right now.

I'm sorry for letting that bug be present for as long as it has, truly my bad. I'll let you know once it's ben fixed.

Thanks for the info and the quick reply. No worries about the bug. I'm used to testing software and know this happens sometimes. Right now I'm just glad its being fixed.

Ok, it should be working as intended now.

There's an important thing I want to mention that you'll see when browsing the contribute page with regards to "original title" field being the same as the language as the "translated title" aka the language you're browsing in.

I'll use an example where the "Original Movie Language" is not English, lets say it's French, but the "Original Title" title entered seems English and also happens to be the English title, ie. the title you would enter under the "Translated Title". In this case, the proper way forward would be to use the "Report" button, and ask a moderator to lock the "Translated Title" field. Once the "Translated Title" field is locked (even though it's empty), the movie will disappear from the contribute page.

TL;DR: An empty locked field will be treated as a valid translation and remove the item from the contribute page.

Does that all make sense? I feel like that got kind of confusing... confused

Thanks! It does make sense I just hope it will be easier to do in the future. If you need help testing anything I will be happy to help in any way I can.

I must say this is the best looking database I have ever seen, keep up the good work!

I just made a report for La La Land and was wondering if it was the correct way to do it. Here it is: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/313369-la-la-land/discuss/597a6ae892514123410005bd
