The Movie Database Support

I don't want to turn TMDB into imdb. But shouldn't TMDB offer a rating system? I have to check RT too know the ratings on movies. I think TMDB should offer as as many details on movies as possible. Like rated: PG13 or other legal ages off other contries.

We do have rating information, look in the "Facts" column on the right. See here as an example.

Yeah. But we dont see what it's rated for. Example; No Country for Old Men. It's rated R for for strong graphic violence and some Language. But we don't have that information on TMDB.

Ah, gotcha. You're talking about the info they attach alongside the rating. Unfortunately, we don't store that information on TMDb right now. You might just be the first person to ask for it as well!

I'll create a ticket for this for me to think about but it's probably not something I'll have time to get to for a while.

I would love to have this as well. For me, I think some would like to know the rating before viewing a movie.

As long as it isn't displayed anywhere I think it could be useful information. But I hate being spoiled by that information so whatever you do, Travis, make sure you make someone click first before seeing it. sweat_smile (I like to know the rating, but not seeing spoilers about key content in the movie I am about to watch.)

I don't agree with you on knowing what it's rated for spoils a movie, but ok. I usually look up the movie ratings before I watch it.
I think it's useful information, and if it is"hidden" and you click it before seeing it, fair enough.

@Travis - I'm looking at the GET details example in the docs and I'm not seeing a rating any where in the data. You mention looking in the facts column and I can see the rating, but just not in any data?

@mrendsley This is the method your looking for: https://developers.themoviedb.org/3/movies/get-movie-release-dates

Found the information, thank you for your help! I love your service BTW, very well created and awesome docs.
