Lately I occasionally get a notification of a "new" message posted to a thread I'm watching; but the message was actually posted over a month ago, and I've kept up to date on notifications, so I know I didn't miss it when it first appeared. Not sure what's going on, but this has happened several times in the last few days.

My guess would be that there was a new post and then it was deleted by the user. That would trigger the behaviour you're seeing. Do you have an example thread?

No, I don't have an example thread at hand, but if it happens again I'll let you know. FYI, I was taken to a message in the middle of the thread posted by the indicated person, not to the end of the thread. That's what made me suspicious.

Now I'm getting a slightly different notification problem. I received a notification for the third-to-last person to reply to a thread, but not for the second-to-last or the last person to reply. This doesn't seem normal. Here's the thread as of now, where the last reply is from PT 100:

We only push a single notification to the first unread reply. If there's been more posts after that notification is sent, we don't send another. That means you'll get linked to somewhere above the last reply.
Did I explain that properly? Does that make sense?

Thanks, that makes sense, and it keeps me from getting too many notifications. I'm still learning how things work here.
