How come many movies have their information locked from editting?

I've just noticed that the description for the Great Dictator (1940) has spelt Adolf Hitler wrong as Adolph Hitler but you can't change it because it's locked. Why the information lock?

Moderators lock fields if they think the information is right and should not be changed, if you come across something you think it's wrong please use the report button, I corrected it
