I think that it would be useful to have wikipedia pages link for movies/tv shows on the website. For one, easy access to verify information is correct, and two, as a user it makes it easy to find other info that TMDB does not provide (more in-depth) info for the user if they need. When you google search a movie, first results and side results usually have a link to wikipedia at some-point, I think its a beneficial piece to add here. Possible under the "home page" link on movies pages. They would have the most factual and accurate info if users needed to modify or sync as well, saving steps of having to google search it. Just a thought.

I think if that were to become a feature, it would have to be in the form of external links like on the person profile pages. Many movies have social media pages and most popular movies have Wikipedia pages like you say. The Homepage field should be for official websites only (or open Facebook sites as it is currently).

Right, I'm not saying replace home page links by any means. I didnt know some have wikipedia pages already, but I was saying as a real feature to be listed under the home page link as an external source.

Oh, I only meant that if you go to Wikipedia you will find pages for most popular movies there, not here. So it's a good idea. In the end, though, it's up to Travis to decide how to integrate other data. Social media links for person profiles was a good first step.

Since we have social links on people, I was already planning to add social links for movies and TV shows (and their relevant hashtags etc...). Obviously though, it's not quite as simple as people as traditionally we've only supported a single external ID for movies (IMDB). So I'll hve ot move the pages around and create some new API methods that can actually return that data.
Point being, once movies have "external ids" like basically every other object, adding Wikipedia would be easy to do.
