Hi,
I have been wanting to add a new feature to my website that would showcase the life and achievements of recently deceased famous people.
Currently, I have to monitor social media for notification on the passing of a famous person. I can then go to my database and flag that person for coverage on the home page as a tribute.
I'm requesting a new API end-point that would list people by date of death in descending order. So when the database is updated after someone has died then that person would appear at the top of the list.
I can then poll this list once per day for changes.
Thanks,

This could probably be a filter on the proposed person discover method when it gets built. It's a little eery but I understand the idea behind it ;)
You can see the relevant ticket for person discover here.
Cheers.

Thanks for including this in future development. I think it's an import aspect of engaging visitors, but you can't really describe it without it coming across strange.
One aspect is the ability to discover people by death date in descending order, but this need accurate updates and quickly as well.
So I'm planning on aggregating data from:
http://www.tributes.com/celebrity/deaths
Using that as my daily feed, and then cross referencing with the people's data. I can do this as an automated process.
