"Locked" information?

Sometimes in the Primary Facts for a movie, I see fields that are locked - they have the closed padlock icon above and can't be edited. How do they become this way and is there any way to change information in locked fields?

Only moderators can lock data. If something is incorrectly locked -- it happens, just post a report _^ I usually always lock data after entering it or validating it.

I see you do a lot of work on non-English-language works. The titles of MANY of these are incorrectly locked because they were imported from IMDB with transliterated titles instead of the native script. If you run across them, we'd love to have you report them and include the correct title in native script. Transliterated titles are great for the "alternative titles" section! ^ Thanks!!
