Hi,
Not tried this method before , reviewed the documentation but getting 401 Unauthorized
I hard code the api key, username and password for testing, and I can login to the website with the same credentials.
Am I doing something wrong here?
Im getting a request token as expected
var client = new WebClient();
string response = client.DownloadString("http://api.themoviedb.org/3/authentication/token/new?api_key=###");
TMDB_Authentication authentication = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject<TMDB_Authentication>(response);
Attempting to login here
string response2 = client.DownloadString("https://api.themoviedb.org/3/authentication/token/validate_with_login?" + "apikey=###&request_token=" + authentication.request_token + "&username=deery5000&password=password");
TMDB_Authentication authentication2 = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject<TMDB_Authentication>(response2);

Hi Kevin,
I'm not sure, I just followed the steps and successfully generated a new session ID with the
validate_with_login
method.What's the actual body being returned?

I'm getting {"status_code":30,"status_message":"Invalid username and/or password: You did not provide a valid login."}
with this url:
https://api.themoviedb.org/3/authentication/token/validate_with_login?api_key=###&request_token=###&username=mataharimau&password=####
The username and password log me into the web site, but this url doesn't work? neither in the app, nor when I paste it into a browser.
If I use the request_token in https://www.themoviedb.org/authenticate/{REQUEST_TOKEN}, I get the approval page.
