Short films disappeared from TMDb, duplicates on Letterboxd

I have been watching several short Polish films the other day that were not listed on Letterboxd, so naturally I added them myself on TMDb. Recently I noticed several titles, three so far, that were on Letterboxd but pointed to a non-existent page on TMDb. Two of these I reported to the Letterboxd staff, who managed to fix the broken link without removing the duplicate entry on LB.
The latest title with this issue is Matrix III. This is the entry on LB that came up after I added the title on TMDb: http://letterboxd.com/film/matrix-iii-1972/ This is the entry that was already on LB, but no longer on TMDb: http://letterboxd.com/film/matrix-iii/ It is once on TMDb (my entry): https://www.themoviedb.org/search/movie?query=matrix%20III
Both LB entries use the same, correct IMDb handle.
Please note that I reported the duplicates on LB, so they will fix it on short notice.
I thought that these films were removed because of a new policy regarding short films, but the TMDb Twitter account assured me that this is not the case.

Looks like someone was a bit trigger happy, perhaps thinking this was a duplicate for one of the Matrix movies (which is very strange, but I can't see any other explanation). It's unfortunate that we don't have change logs for deletions. The LB entries were already merged so I couldn't see the original TMDb ID.
Short films are very much welcome. I have added several myself over the last few days.
(EDIT: Can you give me the other titles so I can see what happened?)

I don't think it was someone who believed it was one of the Matrix movies because it happened with other (more unique) titles as well. Unfortunately the others have been merged now, but this is one of them: http://letterboxd.com/film/dynamic-rectangle/
Coincidentally, both films have an IMDb handle. I believe the third one didn't, but can't remember now what it was. If it happens again I'll post in this thread with details.

Thanks. So some of them were added years ago? That makes it really hard to find out what happened since they could have been deleted at anytime. I know it wasn't me for sure though.

First I can add that some of the deleted short films were deleted many years ago. With that kind of time span from deletion to discovery of deletion it's very hard to find out why something was deleted.
As for the feature film you mention, we do not currently support different versions of the same movie and always prefer to keep the original. It's the same with extended editions and director's cuts. Support for different versions is coming, however, but exactly when that will be or how that will appear on Letterboxd I don't know.
