Hi.
I noticed that when entering parental rating info inside movies, United States offers a dropdown list of possible ratings, and my country (Brazil) leaves the field open to any dumb text some people insist to put wrong.
How can Brazil also get this dropdown list? Here in this link (https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sistema_de_Classifica%C3%A7%C3%A3o_Indicativa_Brasileiro) you can see that there are ONLY some possible:
Please enforce that only these can be written... or at least offer them in the dropdown list as recommended suggestions.
When correctly created, an item that has "L" will appear as "BR-L" in queries , and so on...
Thanks!!

Thanks a lot from Brazil users!
It still allows us to type wrong... but at least pointing the correct options is a very good thing!

I didn't run any kind of migration. Data will be literally all over the place so it makes it nearly impossible.
There's a separate task I'll look into in a few weeks when I have some time to ensure we actually validate the rating. I'm busy with a lot of other stuff and don't have time to look into that at the moment.
Cheers.

Schedules and priorities as they are, I won't have time to look to look into this until after the new website launches. I have to focus on it first. I'll try to get to this in a few months. I've created a new ticket for this here that you can watch.
Cheers.

I see I never said thanks for adding them, haha!
Would be great if the ratings were also added to TV part of the site - when you have time of course :) For the Netherlands, ratings are all the same, so again: AL / 6 / 9 / 12 / 16

Hello
anderbytes said that "some people insist to put wrong." the parental rating of Brazil.
I confess. I was me. I do not know if I was just me.
Let me explain. As soon as I registered in TMDB most parental rating of Brazil were the following values:
Livre, 10 Anos, 12 Anos, 14 Anos, 16 Anos e 18 Anos.
I just kept using the same criteria. Researched the values on IMDB or government website in Brazil. I assume that the values of IMDB is correct and not estimated by someone.
So these values can be converted to your suggestion.
However, most of the films I upgrade to pt-BR are very old, and I do not find anywhere (IMDB or Brazilian Government website) any information parental rating. So I began to estimate a value based on the values of Australia, USA, GB, Argentina and Portugal. In such cases the rating value used is preceded by the letter "e" meaning Estimated.
Like this: e Livre, e 10, e 12, e 14, e 16, e 18.
I do not want to put wrong information. So I put the "e" meaning estimated before the value. Perhaps the right is left blank, worthless. But in this case I think the result would be the same. Leave blank or put "e" at the beginning will result in blank in most Kodi type programs. I could be wrong.
I have cousins and nieces who are under 18 years old. What interests me is to have the right information. For example:
If I placed "10 years", the information came from IMDB or the Government.
If I placed "e 10", information is estimated based on other countries.

Hi Ticao, I get your point. I just used the official classification seen in -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_picture_rating_system#Brazil -- and -- http://culturadigital.br/classind/ -- No harm done.
The only confusion could be around "L" because it could also be called "Livre" as seen in some sites, but using a small footprint like the 2-digit numbers seemed more rational and homogeneous, and easier to use in API's that query TMDB's API.
What I do to find information about Brazil's parental rating:
