The Movie Database Support

I am not sure if this has been asked before, however I did not found any information regarding this topic. Would it be possible to add a field where one can upload small sequences of a movie or gifs? Maybe even with time-stamp information so that you know, e.g. in Fight Club there was this remarkble dialog in minute XY or e.g. there was that beautifull shot at minute XY in Alice in Wonderland and can have a look at it again.
I know there is the video field where one can add a youtube link. However it would be a nice feature to have the videos or clips or gifs directly integrated similar as it is implemented for the images. The youtube API is very nasty if you want to integrated in a website, you always need load the iframe which decreases performance and make things complicated if you want to get rid of the controls to simply show a little scene related to a movie. Furthermore, youtube videos might be gone after a while, you never know if it is locked in a certain country, there are no standards for resolution as it is required for uploading images here and many more annoying points. Basically, youtube is not designed to solve this purpose.
I am not sure if this still fits in the purpose of this database and I am not an expert about the legal issues, so I don't know if that would violated the 'fair use' conditions or any of that sort. However, it seems to me that there currently doesn't exist such thing, you have to search for clips on youtube, look for gifs on Tumblr or elsewhere and than store all your favorites somehow.
Any chance to implement this in future?

Hi Mr_Popeye,

I don't think we will ever support animated gifs but thank for the suggestion.

With regards to YouTube, I am aware of these drawbacks and issues and have some ideas about what the next version of our trailer/video feature will be like. This isn't planned for a few more months though. I'm busy with a number of other things.

Cheers.
