The most of Italian posters (cinema, dvd, etc) have aspect ratio 1: 1.42 (usually 1050x1500)! Sometimes you can not crop the image without distorting it. I wonder if you can leave this aspect ratio or posters should be exactly 1: 1.5? If so, 95% of Italian posters are to be erased ...

Last time I checked we did allow poster at or above 1:1:33 so those should be safe. French posters are generally exactly at 1:1.33. Have some of your added posters been deleted?

It sometimes happened. A few days ago I was told: "I'd like to once again ask that you please crop images to the preferred ratio of 1:1.5. Thanks.". So, I wonder if I can continue to put Italian posters with aspect ratio 1:1.42 (1050x1000)?

Yes, that is fine. I will ping the other moderators. Sometimes they don't read it though, but if it comes up again you can link to this thread.

After some internal discussion I want to clarify a few things. 1:1.5 (1000 x 1500 or similar) is the preferred aspect ratio so when possible try to crop images to get as close as possible to that. I know that it's not always possible to get there, but always keep that in mind. If you add a 1050 x 1500 poster chances are someone else may improve upon that image by cropping it. That's part of the game and it happens to me quite often and it's fine. Usually when I add a 1018 x 1500 image it's because I'm in a hurry and don't have the time to do the cropping. I just want to make sure we all get on the same page here. Thanks.
