Recently I have been reviewing The MovieDB and other apis. The need for my application requires to be able to have movie links to external sites they are available on. Is it possible to add the following external ids to the movie db for all to enjoy?:
iTunes Track ID Netflix ID Amazon VOD ID Vimeo ID

Hi bass_rock,
There could be an extra one or two added depending on some features we have planned next year but generally speaking, we don't really have plans on maintaining an external ID map. It just doesn't suit our core business.
Cheers.

@Travis ok understandable. Another question related. The TV api has the /external_ids endpoint does one exist for the Movies as well? Looking now to get the freebase id of movies.

Hi bass_rock,
Unfortunately, no. The only external ID we have for movies is IMDB. Our initial TV import came from Freebase so it was easy for us to bing those in.
On a related and curious note, since Freebase is going to be shut down, I'm curious about your reasons for wanting Freebase ids for movies. Care to elaborate?

The site I was looking at that has the other store id's does the main id based on Freebase. I was defiantly curious as to why they use it as their main ID as well when I saw freebase was shutting down. http://www.findable.tv

Gotcha, makes sense. Ya, it's too bad Google is shutting Freebase down but I guess they got what they wanted from that acquisition. You can see Freebase's knowledge graph powers a good chunk of Google search now.
