Wouldn't it be better to change the name translated title ( german, englisch, russian for example) for a movie or tv-serie to "german" "russian" title depending on the language edit mode because the german titles for example for english, russian or spanish films are not exactly a translation of the original title maybe the english title is " The Wolf" and then the german title is The wild dog, this isn't german but it's the name of the movie in Germany?? And so translated title isn't the true expression

The validity of a translated title is usually a mere aleatory issue. Would'n be better if the titles appears primarily in the original language (that means, the original title)?

Do you mean that only the original title should appear? That would be very confusing because the Movies are known by the titles they have in each country, for me it would be very bad if I should have to search for a russian title for example to find a movie because I don't know that language and spelling

Or do you mean that only the title of the movie should be shown in the country language and not the original title also? I think both are useful to have an overview and to have the different search options

Sorry, Samara. I've just noticed that when I read your post I was distracted (or sleepy) and misunderstood it. Forget what I replied and yes, I in fact agree with your proposition. Normally the "a.k.a." titles are anything but a real translation of the original title. Cheers

Yes and therefore I think it would be better to change the field translated title to "xxxx" title ( xxx for the country in the editing mode)

I agree. It's totally more accurate.

Maybe someone here can tell us if this was a thing worth to think about?

Hey guys,

Yes, it is something I will think about. I've created a ticket for it here.

I'm heading out for vacation and won't be back in the office for around 10 days. Don't be surprised if you don't hear from me for a bit ;)

Nice, Travis :) Thanks for the ticket and have a lovely vacation, !

I just pushed this live for you guys. Hope that helps.

I'll check it soon. Thanks a lot, Travis!

Hi Travis,

I would do it the other way around. More like:

Title (Deutsch)

Overview (Deutsch)

Tagline (Deutsch)

Because the way it is now it should be then

Deutscher Title

Deutsche Übersicht/Overview

Deutsche Schlagzeile/Tagline

It looks just wrong at the moment.

Yes I agree that would be much better
