Guys! girls, I am having problems understanding website structure tmdb.
I have an oldskool movie library and trying to match up with genres on tmdb. Can someone tell me the genre structure? For example:
https://www.themoviedb.org/genre/10749-romance Does this include all movies in this genre?
Can't find a movie or TV show? Login to create it.

Hi hennesjean,
No, the genre pages won't show every single movie since I think we only show movies that have 5 or more votes.
Truthfully, the genre pages are quite outdated. They haven't got much love in a few years. They definitely need a spring cleaning so to speak.
Cheers.

I see, no problem. Is there any other way to get a full list of movies based on either category/year?

On the website, or API?
Website, not currently.
API, yes, you can use the /genre/:id/movies method with the
?include_all_movies=true
param.I'm thinking moving forward, a much better way to display these moves would be show all but order them by popularity. That way they'll all be visible but also naturally show the more prominent films first.
I've created a new ticket for this here.

FYI—We improved the genre pages last month. They now show all movies and can also now be sorted.
Cheers.
