The Movie Database Support

I'm trying to look up posters in the original language of the movie but when getting a movie by id, there is only an alphabetical list of spoken languages and a production country, which cannot be translated into a language code. Is there an easy way round this?

Hi amosjackson,

We don't currently store that information on a movie. There's only a single field that is language dependent when referring to the "original" and that is the "original title". The original title field is not always english and is intended to be in the language of the original release. We do not currently associate an ISO-639-1 with this field. Examples would be:

Unfortunately, I can't see any way to get what you're after unless we attached a language code to the original title field.

Is there a way of me requesting that feature or should I just ask here?

Hey amosjackson,

Sure thing, I've created a new ticket for that here.

Cheers.
