Hi, thanks for the quick response earlier, im pretty sure you dont offer this but I thought I would ask anyway as it would be great for my use, Can http://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=###################&query=[IMDB no] or something like http://api.themoviedb.org/3/search/movie?api_key=######################&query=&imdb=0233422 ? or even http://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/tt######?api_key=################

Thanks again I wish I could program like you guys, its criminal how I program this is an example;
$html2 = str_replace( "\"imdb_id\":", "START-IMDB", $html2); $html2 = str_replace( ",", "END", $html2); $html2 = str_replace( "\"", "", $html2); $html2 = str_replace( "\"", "", $html2); preg_match ("/START-IMDB([`]*?)END/", $html2, $temp); $imdb = $temp[1];
thats how I get a vaule out of your api -_-' I dont get the whole json veraible stuff. Im sure the proper way is much faster!

Out of interest Gorrors have you looked into use one of the API wrappers. You might find it easier. I personally use the PHP wrapper by glamorous you can get a complete list here https://www.themoviedb.org/documentation/api/wrappers-libraries

in your documentation, to find thanks to the IMDB id, it says to use the url: http://api.themoviedb.org/3/find/tt0137523?api_key=### but the result is "{"status_code":6,"status_message":"Invalid id: The pre-requisite id is invalid or not found."}" .... So i use this url : http://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/tt0137523?api_key=### ...

Your find query isn't right, this would be what you're looking for:
The movie query works but it is not documented nor guaranteed to work nor does it work for TV (my original post is 2 years old and before we had the find query).
