HI. I suggest you add a new language for the brazilian users. They use portuguese as main language, but the titles of the movies are different from the ones used in Portugal. So if portuguese users, like me, select portuguese (pt) they want portuguese titles and descriptions and not brazilian.
Sorry for any grammar mistakes.
Best regards.

Fair enough.
Just hope it doesn't get out of sight :-)

All of the search, discover and feature list methods have now been updated. Like I said earlier, TV will be coming in a week or two.
Cheers.

Almost.
Can you please make the search language be case insensitive? using pt-br or pt-BR bring different results. I wouldn't mind but it's better not to expect all apps around the world will use exactly the perfect casing.
Thanks!

Complementing: anything that starts with pt and isn`t exactly pt-BR is bringing PT-PT results.
example: pt-bj , pt-yy (none of them existent).
Wouldn`t be correct to ONLY bring PT-PT when "pt-pt" is typed?

For now we are supporting the
en-US
format. You will have to use it if you want to use the regional translations.Yes, this is by design and is how the website works as well. 'pt-PT' is the default for all 'pt' language translations other than than 'pt-BR'. We currently only support the 2 'pt' translations. This is true for every language only query. Everything defaults back to the original system (ie. pt, en, de, fr, etc...)
Cheers.

Ok, will try to convince the other apps devs to enforce this. It's not an app of mine that is falling in this situation. Thanks

Someone gave me an idea about this.
If the insides of TheMovieDB expect that the chars after hyphen are upper case, wouldn't be safer to get whatever it comes after hyphen and upper it just after the API received the text?
This way... even who doesn't spell it as expected will have the correct results, everybody wins.
Also, probably there are lots of apps that doesn`t care for upper casing of region subtags.

Do you plan on adding that change anytime soon (separate portuguese br and portuguese)? This post was created at 2013 and we are now at 2018 and still nothing on that regard. =(

The change has already occurred.
Now movies can be added in pt-PT and/or pt-BR.
All pt movies, which were already in the BD, migrated to pt-PT.
No movies were automatically migrated to pt-BR.
It is the users themselves who must do this migration.
And there is no tool or shortcut to it.
It has to be done manually, one at a time.
I think I already made about 400.
