Blue Blink is a fantasy adventure anime series created by Osamu Tezuka. The anime is based from classic film Konjok-gorbunok by Ivan Ivanov-Vano. The film in turn is based from Pyotr Pavlovich Yershov's The Little Humpbacked Horse.
This was Tezuka's last anime series. Osamu Tezuka died while this series was in production. The studio completed the production according to his plans. Blinky's Fun Club was a children's television program that aired first on aired on KKTV in Colorado Springs from 1958 to 1966 and then on KWGN-TV in Denver, Colorado, from 1966 to 1998. KWGN's general manager Bill Ross cancelled the show in 1998.

In the early 1980s additional characters began to appear regularly, including Otis and Zelda, played by husband and wife acting duo Michael Berg and C.J. Prince.
