A camera-object travelling through landscape records images of static objects/textures apparently moving, all at variable rates, depth cues constantly changing, the illusion problematic doubled, and representation confounded as projection produces the opposite - a travelling landscape. This was my first film and, as with later films and video work, in some way parallels issues I had been working through in my sculpture'. DH.

Experimental film, in which against a black field, constantly changing coloured strips of paper cross the screen, meet each other and deflect at angles.

"While not addressing the issue in a very overt manner, this piece has something to do with the thrilling and 'awful' process of actively engaging in perception and how we oscillate between forgetting and remembering that activeness as we age. In 'Principles of Harmonic Motion', I take a painterly approach to the image and rely on a subtle but carefully composed stereo soundtrack to amplify the sense of physical and psychological space. The images, sounds and structure are sometimes somewhat abstract while preserving a strong grounding in representation." –Leighton Pierce

This nicely made erotic video goes behind the scenes at a Tom Bianchi photo shoot for a sports spread. There are hot shots of the games and posing for the loving camera lens. Bianchi gives us some incisive interview moments with athletes in dance, basketball, wrestling, fitness training and triathlon. After the active photo session it's into the shower with these hunks and a nude photo session. A nice glimpse behind the scenes with the most prominent photographer of nude men in the business. One note is that Bianchi is one of the most handsome guys we've seen in his age bracket - perhaps it's because he loves his job so much, who wouldn't love to photograph beautiful men all day?
