In M Night Shyamalan's Knock at the Cabin, a peaceful family vacation is disrupted by four mysterious visitors, each wielding elaborate medieval weapons. Dave Bautista stars as one of the strangers, who demands entry into Eric (Jonathan Groff) and Andrew's (Ben Aldridge) holiday home, along with their adopted daughter Wen (Kristen Cui). Despite their reluctance, the strangers eventually gain entry and explain to the family that they must sacrifice one of their own to save the rest of humanity. Through this taut and suspenseful home invasion thriller, Shyamalan creates an atmosphere of existential dread, as the family must decide whether or not to trust the strangers' motives. Adapted from Paul Tremblay's novel, Knock at the Cabin is a gripping, efficient picture with a captivating performance from Bautista.
