he sequel to the 2015 blockbuster hit Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, directed by J.A. Bayona, returns with the beloved character Rexy. Expectations were high for Bayona to bring something fresh to a franchise in need of new ideas, but does he deliver? Four years after the chaos on Isla Nublar, a volcano threatens to wipe out the remaining dinosaurs on the island. A group of scientists, including former park employee Claire (Howard) and dino trainer Owen (Pratt), travel to the island to save as many species as possible, but soon discover that the team's true intentions are not as noble as they seem. The creation of a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, the Indoraptor, adds to the already unstable situation. While the movie showcases some visually stunning moments and raises important themes, it falls short in areas such as character development and storytelling. The lead actors, Howard and Pratt, bring strong chemistry to their roles but the villains of the film are underdeveloped. The movie shines when the dinosaurs are on screen, but fails to maintain the same level of excitement when they're not. The Indoraptor is a highlight, but ultimately underused. The film manages to balance moments of levity with darker, more tense scenes, but ultimately falls short of its potential.

Las expectativas eran altas para que Bayona trajera algo nuevo a una franquicia que necesitaba nuevas ideas, pero ¿las cumple? Cuatro años después del caos en Isla Nublar, un volcán amenaza con acabar con los dinosaurios que quedan en la isla. Un grupo de científicos, incluida la ex empleada del parque Claire (Howard) y el entrenador de dinosaurios Owen (Pratt), viajan a la isla para salvar tantas especies como sea posible, pero pronto descubren que las verdaderas intenciones del equipo no son tan nobles como parecen. Si bien la película muestra algunos momentos visualmente impresionantes y plantea temas importantes, se queda corta en áreas como el desarrollo de personajes y la narración. Los actores principales, Howard y Pratt, aportan una fuerte química a sus papeles, pero los villanos de la película están subdesarrollados. La película brilla cuando los dinosaurios están en la pantalla, pero no logra mantener el mismo nivel de emoción cuando no lo están. El Indoraptor es un punto culminante, pero finalmente infrautilizado. La película logra equilibrar los momentos de ligereza con escenas más oscuras y tensas, pero finalmente no alcanza su potencial.
