Jim Lehrer, 85, has passed. He's very well known, particularly to PBS viewers.

Very sad to hear.
Jim Lehrer comes across as a fine reporter, evidently non-partisan by not skewing and spinning the news, but delivering highlights of the day with calm, collective, rational, informative, substantial presentation.
You feel as though you learn something when he speaks, and don't step away angry at whatever is left of society in the process.
Fine job, and many times over, Jim.
