It's odd that, even though I had seen him in a handful of films, I had never heard of this actor until he started picking up awards for Moonlight.

The second consecutive Supporting Actor win for a subtle, beautifully effective performance - and for a genuine supporting role, while it seems necessary these days to be a co-lead in order to win a Supporting Actress Oscar.

Ali's performance is lovely and he seems like an intelligent, articulate and versatile performer. I'm very excited to see where he goes from here.
